Motivation Letter For Apllaying Scholarship for the 2015-2016 Academic Year to be held in Zurich.

Dear Madam,

I hereby wish to express my motivation for your scholarship for the 2015-2016 academic year to be held in Zurich.
With a major in software engineering as an undergraduate, and in the process to enrol for a Masters in computer science, I would like to concentrate on encouraging higher participation of women in electronics. I am mainly interested in android development and a firm believer that technology should be applied anywhere by everyone.

My love for technology plays a big role in my IT career as I have recently volunteered my knowledge for a start up company in Northern Kenya. My main responsibility is developing a mobile application for an alarm system for the residents of Marsabit (a town in northern Kenya). This application will be of great help in curbing cattle rustling which is still a vice in the town. At the same time, I mentor 20 primary school children and teach them basic computer skills.

This scholarship will provide a platform to give back to the community as well as ensuring more women sign up for computer therefore presenting under represented minorities in computer science. Further, earning this scholarship will support my career by adding to my skills in software engineering as well as the courage to enrol for a PhD program later.

Through my internships at Techno brain Limited, my good academic record and current volunteer work, I have amassed skills in software construction, testing, design and maintenance. This together with your scholarship will enable me integrate different ideas and perspectives pertaining to diverse global technology issues.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your positive response.

Yours Sincerely,

Kiki Rizky Amalia
